Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as older Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. As a student and young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially in the younger generations in keeping the music vibrant.
